The Unboxing
The Huawei 12,000 mAh 40W SuperCharge powerbank instantly strikes a premium feel by the time you take it out of the box.The powerbank has a glossy glass-like finish which is typically made of a high-quality polycarbonate plastic material. It is packaged in a white box with red accents which the company has been known for.
Breaking the plastic seal and opening the box at the bottom part will allow access to the main cradle. This houses the main unit together with some documentations. There's a separate compartment for the USB Type C cable which is rated to support up to 5A. Plus, you'll also get the warranty card out of the box.
Design
When we speak of design and construction, the Huawei 12,000 mAh 40W SuperCharge powerbank is a rectangular candy-bar device. It has a glass-like glossy finish which feels similar to that of the Huawei Freebuds Lite's body. I'm really digging this kind of material choices from the company.
There's a lot of branding printed on the powerbank's body. You'll see the "Huawei SuperCharge" in subtle gray accents on one side, and another "Huawei" branding on the opposite side. The are two ports found on the powerbank, one is a in/out USB Type C and the other is a USB Type A out port. This means that you can only charge it with a USB Type C cable.
Performance
The Huawei 12000 mAh SuperCharge power bank is capable of supporting up to 40 watts of input power. This means that you can charge it fast.
In our charging test, we charged a Huawei P30 Pro to 50 percent in just a little over 25 minutes. We also tested the Huawei P30 Lite, the powerbank was able to charge the phone from 0 to 50 in just 40 minutes. With its 12,000 mAh capacity, it could charge the Huawei P30 Lite for 3.5 times.

Charging the powerbank is also fast. Using a standard USB Type C, you can fully charge the device in 3.5 hours. One of its main features is that it is flexible enough to adjust to the power consumption needs of your devices.
