ASUS ROG Phone II is powered by the most powerful chipset to date, the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The company is giving another shot for the hardcore gaming-oriented smartphone market.
ASUS Republic of Gamers unleashed the ROG Phone II, the direct successor to the powerful ROG Phone released last year. The ASUS ROG Phone II is one of the firsts to used the Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform which is clocked up to 2.96GHz. When it comes to graphics, the Adreno 640 GPU got you covered with its 675MHz speed.

Aside from the chipset, the ASUS ROG Phone II also ups the ante of smartphone display tech with its 120Hz/1ms AMOLED screen. It frames a 6.59-inch 10-bit HDR display with what ASUS dubbed as "world-beating" color accuracy. The smartphone will also be the first ASUS phone to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus offers a significant improvement to the Snapdragon 855. In fact, it is 15% faster in GPU performance. It being coupled with 12GB of RAM means that ASUS is serious in positioning this handset for hardcore mobile gaming. Both the powerful chipset and RAM could definitely chew any Android games thrown at it with ease.
Camera and Battery
The ROG Phone II also excels in the camera department. It packs a combination of 48MP main shooter and a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera on the rear panel. The handset also has a powerful 24MP selfie camera.
When it comes to the battery department, the ROG Phone II is powered by a whopping 6,000 mAh battery which would definitely wont give up on you even when you're in the middle of the gameplay.
The phone is supported with a wide-range of gaming accessories that could enhance users' experience. The unique side-mounted USB-C charging port and 3.5mm audio jack let users keep their phone topped up and their headphones plugged in without cramping their style.

Moreover, the TwinView Dock II offers a genuine dual-screen gaming experience, with a 6.59-inch AMOLED FHD+ (2340 x 1080) auxiliary screen that's great for split-screen live-streaming, extended game display or group communication. This accessory is now lighter and better balanced, featuring a new turbo-fan cooling system and a high-capacity 5000mAh extended battery pack. Plus, the ROG Kunai Gamepad can also be used to add full physical controls and create a complete self-contained dual-screen gaming system.
Other accessories include the ROG WiGigDisplay Dock Plus and Mobile Desktop Dock. The ROG Kunai Gamepad consists of three components — the ROG Kunai Bumper, ROG Kunai Controllers and ROG Kunai Holder. The two-part Kunai Controllers can be attached to the Kunai Holder to create a standalone gamepad, or combined with the Kunai Bumper to add physical gamepad controls to ROG Phone II itself.
