Upcoming Vivo smartphone to sport a redesigned display

Vivo’s next smartphone display is expected to have a different design from what we have accustomed to with the current edge-to-edge panels. The company has teased the newest display design in their social media portals saying that it’s “not only sleek, but is also cutting-edge and functional.”

This photo suggests a slimmer notch. So if you’re not a fan of the notched displays that have been omnipresent in almost all Android smartphones releases in 2018. This time, the forthcoming handset could sport a trimmed notch for the selfie camera…and maybe integrate some essential sensors on the front.

Vivo is going beyond the norms with its new screen design. 

Vivo has had important releases that scaled up the display technology before - its modern bezel-less designs such as the V7+, the V9 for its 90% screen-to-body ratio with its 6.3-inch FullView Display; the X21 for its advanced In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology; and the NEX for its 8-megapizel Elevating Front Camera and Screen SoundCasting Technology.

Previously, Vivo already gave a hint that its thumbprint feature, the In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology, in the Philippines. This time, it seeds us some deets with the upcoming display. Are you excited?
