LG G7 ThinQ to be released in the Philippines this June with Deep AI Integration

The LG G7 ThinQ is the latest flagship smartphone from the company after the successful run of its predecessors last year. This premium handset features the best processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which also gives the LG G7 ThinQ a bucket-full of AI feature integration.

The LG G7 ThinQ is cased in a sleek body and is loaded with better audio-visual features that could give users the optimum experience in a smartphone. Aside from the powerful chipset, the LG G7 ThinQ boasts 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of native memory for seamless performance and storage.

LG G7 ThinQ: Display, Design

On the sides, the smartphone is accented with a metal rim which gives the handset its svelte from factor. Its overall construction passed the MIL-STD 810G military standards for better material performance, and the phone could withstand harsh environments.

In terms of display, the LG G7 ThinQ comes with a 6.1-inch QHD+ FullVision Super Bright Display with 3120 x 1440p resolution and 564ppi. The screen also comes with 19.5 x 9 aspect ratio. Depending on the type of content, the display can be set to six different viewing modes: Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game and Expert.

In Auto mode, the phone automatically analyzes the content of games or photos and optimizes the display and power consumption. The user can fine tune the image even further by adjusting the screen temperature and RGB levels individually.

It also comes with a notch that highlights the handset’s New Second Screen. The Second Screen can be customized to give the display a bezel-less look or configure the notification bar to be completely blacked out. Users can even change the notification bar to another color for a more personal effect.

LG G7 ThinQ AI Camera

The LG G7 ThinQ features better cameras than its predecessors. It packs an 8MP wide-angle selfie sensor which is expected to offer crisp and vibrant social media selfies. On the back, it also features the dual-lens camera – a standard 16MP with f/1.6 aperture lens and another 16MP Super Wide angle lens with f/1.9 aperture. This combination offers more detailed, higher resolution photos. LG’s signature wide angle camera now captures even more beautiful landscapes with less edge distortion; while selfies are clearer and look more natural compared to previous LG phones.

LG G7 ThinQ loaded its camera with AI features just like the LG V30S ThinQ. It now comes with 19 shooting modes, up from eight, for even more intelligence-optimized shots. The new Super Bright Camera also takes the low-light photography in a higher level. Produced images are now four times brighter than of typical photos shot in dim light. Plus, the combination of pixel binning, software processing and the AI algorithm adjusts the camera settings automatically when shooting in low light.

Notable camera features are also added in the new camera app. The Live Photo mode records a second before and after the shutter is pressed for snippets of unexpected moments; it captures expressions that we normally miss. Stickers use face recognition to generate fun 2D and 3D overlays such as sunglasses and headbands that can be viewed directly on the display.

Likewise, the Portrait Mode generates professional looking shots with out-of-focus backgrounds. This effect can be generated using either the standard or Super Wide Angle lens, giving trigger-happy selfie lovers even more creative options.

Plus, the LG G7 ThinQ will also be one of the first devices to get the Google Lens feature.

Side Button for Google Assistant and Google Lens

The LG G7 ThinQ features a physical button located on the left side of the phone. One press will  pull up Google Assistant while two presses will launch the Google Lens. Likewise, you can also hold down the button to talk to Google Assistant which can recognize your voice commands from up to five meters away.

LG G7 ThinQ Superb Audio

In terms of audio, the LG G7 ThinQ employs the Boombox Speaker which utilizes the internal space of the phone as a resonance chamber to deliver double the bass of conventional smartphones for a powerful “boombox” sound without the need for external speakers. When placed on a solid surface or box, the smartphone utilizes its resonance chamber as a woofer to amplify the bass effect even more. It’s also the first smartphone to have the DTS:X which offers virtual 3D sound for all content. Plus, its Hi-Fi Quad DAC shoots incredibly rich sound.

LG G7 ThinQ Availability in the Philippines

The LG G7 ThinQ will be launched here in the Philippines in June. It’ll initially come in two hues – the Moroccan Blue and Aurora Black. Price and Pre-order details will be announced soon. Stay Tuned.
