Nokia 7 is now official. The handset was
unveiled in China as the new mid-range smartphone from HMD Global. The Nokia 7
is constructed with 7000 series aluminum frame and a vacuum-molded 3D Gorilla Glass panels. On top of the very flashy construction, the Nokia 7 also comes with
IP54 which makes it a splash-proof handset.

The Nokia 7
Despite the premium construction,
the Nokia 7 remains to be a mid-range handset due to the fact that it
ticks with Snapdragon 630 SoC. You'll also have either 4GB or 6GB of RAM
depending on which region you're from.
Nokia 7: Carl Zeiss Bothie-capable camera
On the front panel. the Nokia 7
headlines a 5.2-inch screen with a full HD 1080p IPS LCD display. Camera buffs will
also be delighted with the 16MP main camera that houses an f/1.8 lens. The
selfie camera is a 5MP affair with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field-of-view.
The Carl Zeiss imaging also supports this set of cameras for better user
experience. In fact you can also do a "Bothie;" it's a feature which
uses both front and back cameras for photo and videos and displays its output in
split screen, simultaneously.
The back-mounted fingerprint sensor
will keep unlocking the phone in a zippy manner. Initially, the Nokia 7 boots with Android 7.1.1 but the Oreo update will be in its roadmap.
Nokia 7 Price and Availability
As of this writing, the Nokia 7 is
priced at CNY 2,499 (Php 19,300 in today's exchange rate) for 4GB of RAM, and
CNY 2699 (Php 20800) for the 6GB variant. It comes in Gloss Black and White Matte colors.
