Blink hits SM Seaside City Cebu for Weekend Movie Festival series

Blink Weekend Movie Festival hits SM Seaside City Cebu last Valentine Weekend. The video-on-demand (VOD) service treated movies and series fanatics with an afternoon of fun, games, food, raffle prizes and unlimited movies.

Blink has been a major runner in the VOD market since the early days of smartphone dominance in the country. Basically, Blink offers unique streaming service which includes never-before-seen titles, pay per views and exclusive TV shows. You can get all the content with the Blink app and stream their beefy catalogue in your mobile devices.

Blink versus other VOD players?

When asked about the difference of Blink among other VOD players in the market, Ms. Nicole Marie Diato, Business Unit Head for Digital Media (SM Cinema), stressed that their product is now heavily tied up with SM Cinema’s catalogue since Blink is now under the umbrella of SM Lifestyle Entertainment.

The app also highlights a wide selection of titles which the company deems to be relevant to its subscribers. Plus, the addition of TV channel streaming (like ETC, 2nd Avenue, BTV and CT) within the app is also a welcome feature.

Likewise, Blink also features never-before-seen movies exclusive to Blink Online Cinema. These are the movies that was not given air dates in SM Cinemas. These latest movies will also be added to Blink after their theatrical runs and will stay in your app’s library for 2 to 3 months.

Blink Pay Per View, Blink Rentals and Blink Unlimited

Other noteworthy features are Blink PPV and Blinks Rentals. The former allows you to watch live entertainment or sports events on demand. Blink Rentals, on the other hand, allows you to “rent” titles for as low as Php 75. Lastly, the Blink Unlimited will allow users to have access to movies and TV series for just Php 99 a month.

What are the Payment Options?

There’s a variety of payment options for users’ convenience. These include the traditional credit card and debit card payment scheme. You can also opt to use direct-to-bill charging, SM advantage and ePlus card. Blink is also rolling out scratch cards for you to top up.

The Blink Weekend Movie Festival will be in SM Manila and SM Fairview on February 27-28, in Megamall on March 4-6 and SM Calamba on March 5-6. Be sure to catch them.
