Acer
releases budget-friendly tablet called the Iconia Tab 10. The device is
basically an upgrade to the Iconia Tab A3 which was previously released in
September of 2013. As its name implies, the device is framed with a 10.1-inch
display. The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer released four versions of this
slate with higher-end version priced at USD 250 (roughly Php 11000) and more affordable options at USD 200 (roughly Php 9000).
Why buy
this device?
As you may
have noticed, the tablet has a rock-bottom price to begin with. Filling you up
with the rest of the specs will surely make you interested with this device. The
higher-end version of the device packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
The display
is also legit with the 1920 x 1200p (WUXGA) display. Lastly, the screen
panel is also treated with Gorilla Glass 4 with anti-fingerprint coating.
Hardware
The device
is powered by a MediaTek 8217 chipset which includes the quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.5-gigahertz speed. Software-wise, the Tab 10 will have the Android 4.4 KitKat to
run the whole show.
Cheaper
versions
Consequently,
the cheaper slate only has 1GB and 16GB of built-in memory. This lower-end
model only has 1280 x 800p WXGA resolution - basically a lower piece of screen tech than the pricier version of the tab. Its
processor is only clocked up to 1.3-gigahertz speed. There are 3 configurations of the lower-end device, they only differ in battery capacity - two have 5910 mAh and one variant packs a 5700 mAh just like the more expensive option .
All variants will
have 2-megapixel front camera. The device is likely to hit
the country sooner rather than later.
