Starmobile Turbo specs review: 5-inch HD quad-core with KitKat at Php 6,990

Starmobile remains robust in the saturated local smartphone market. Recently, the company announced another Android Kitkat-running device dubbed as the "Starmobile Turbo". The newest offering bears a pricier tag than the earlier introduced Starmobile Sky and Up. However, the device assures buyer of value for money features.


Priced at Php6990, it’s going to have a 5-inch HD IPS display at 720 x 1280 resolution that's scratch resistant. The device will run on 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad-core processor paired with a gigabyte of RAM for multitasking. The device only has a conventional 4GB internal storage but it supports microSD for your memory needs. Camera-wise, it's equipped with 12MP rear shooter with AF and BSI. The frontal 5-megapixel camera boasts a Samsung sensoryou’re your selfie shots.


Connectivity-wise, it's 3G capable and has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and A-GPS. The USB OTG will offer easy access to your files using thumb drives. You can also use it to charge of other devices with its 2000mAh battery. Aside from Android KitKat which comes out of the box, it also highlights other noteworthy features like call and text filtering; voice activated smart camera, double tap to unlock and more.
