Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 specs review: Everything you need to know before its grand debut

Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 is set to hit the country by storm after the local giant teased the supposed launch of the NVIDIA-clad tablet later this week. The tablet is dubbed to be a variant of the original NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 and will be the best alternative for other stylus-enabled premium brands. If you’re looking for a legit slate with powerful gaming capability, here’s everything you need to know about the Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7.

Display

The tablet touts a 7-inch 1280 x 800p resolution which will sum up to 215 ppi. It is heavily compared to the likes of Nexus 7 (2013), Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Amazon Fire HDX. In terms of display, it’s not quite as sharp as its peers but it catches up in terms of performance and hardware.

Hardware and Design

The tablet has been making rounds in other regions due to its powerful internals. This 7-incher houses a 1.8-gigahertz quad-core Tegra 4 processor, GeForce GPU, 1-gigabyte of RAM and 16GB on-board memory. And of course, not to forget, it has its own stylus for enhanced efficiency.

In terms of connectivity, you'll have the 802.11 a/b/g/n with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, GPS and other necessary sensors. CM Tegra Note 7 will have a 199 x 119 x 9.6-millimeter dimensions with an interesting HTC One-ish frontal speakers that could give you a worthwhile gaming experience.

Camera and Gaming

In terms of camera, you'll have a decent 5-megapixel rear shooter which is legit enough by tablet standards. It will also be paired with a VGA frontal camera for your selfie and video calling needs.

This slate is known for its high performance in Gaming and running graphic-intensive apps. Thus, you'll have to expect that there will be minimal issues in playing hardcore mobile games like NOVA 3, Riptide or Asphalt 8.

Software and Battery

The CM Tegra Note 7 will be running with Android Jelly Bean and is pegged to have a KitKat update.  Likewise, it will be treated with NVIDIA Tegra Zone, Tegra Draw and other note-like software. On paper the Note 7 will have 4100 mAh of battery, that’s enough to power a day of use.

Price and Availability

The Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 is scheduled to debut on Saturday, July 26, at SM North Edsa. Pricing is yet to be determined but with the fact that its international version is priced at USD 200, we are expecting it to hit the Php 10,000 price range.
