Cherry Mobile Axis is now out in the market. This NFC-enabled quad-core smartphone is up for a very affordable price of Php 4,499.
Cherry
Mobile tests the waters by bringing in an NFC device. Many Android
devices like Samsung and Sony considers it as a standard feature in
today’s market. Its functionality expands in a platform of data transfers
between mobile or computers. To date, NFC is widely used in automobile,
transportation, and mobile payments.
It is
not new to everyone that CM offered an NFC Bluetooth speaker with the Rave 2.0.
So what is NFC? This stands for Near Field Communications which establishes
communication between device by just tapping them or putting them in near
proximity. This feature has been widely established in Sony Xperia’s smart tags
and Samsung’s Android Beam. NFC may have brought interest to the market to opt
the local company to come up with another device - the Cherry Mobile Axis.
The
CM Axis is very affordable compared to other NFC capable smartphones in the
market. It is also bundled with other features like its quad-core processor,
standard 1GB RAM and an Android Jellybean operating system.
The
display is an averaged 4.5-inch qHD
treated with a Dragontrail glass. Other specs include 4GB ROM with
microSD expansion option, 8MP rear camera and VGA front, 3G/HSPA+, USB On-the-Go,
GPS, GLONASS and more. It is now available in selected Cherry Mobile kiosks
nationwide.
