Cherry Mobile teases fans over Facebook page that it's goin to have an exclusive Lazada release for a new phone in February 9. This hightens the speculation that it could be the rumored Cherry Mobile Burst.
The local fruit company is pegging into Burst as the successor of its super-hit smartphone, the Cherry Mobile Flare. Burst will have identical features to Flare but the previous will out-spec its brother with a 4-inch IPS WVGA screen. The slightly downgraded 1GHz dual-core CPU will keep everything ticking together with the puuported 512MB of RAM.
So how would a 200 MHz difference in speed cause you? I say its negligible. I tried running a 1GHz-clocked CM Blaze, and I could say that's it more buttery than Flare or Flame. Anyways, other guts would include the 5MP rear camera for mobile snappers, paired with VGA front shutter. It'll be beefed up with 4GB of internal memory with expandable options.
As expected, Burst will come with the standard Android ICS and a set of connectivity options. The battery rating is the one that excites me most. But as of now, there are just no deets from Cherry Mobile yet. Pricing will still be Php 3,999. So will you buy the new Cherry Mobile Burst?
