Cherry Mobile Omega to be released this year: packs 5.3-inch qHD display, 8MP and 2MP camera, 1GB RAM, 1GHz dual-core CPU and Android Jelly Bean

If you think that Cherry Mobile bestsellers, Titan and Flare, will wrap up the 2012 smartphone line well you'll be surprised that there's going to be a barrage of powerful Android handsets anytime from now.

The country leading smartphone vendor is prepping up the release of Cherry Mobile Omega and Flame. The former is pegged to be the company's flagship phone that will pack a 5.3-inch qHD screen (960 x 540p resolution) with less than Php 8,000 price tag. The Omega phone will sport 1GB of RAM edging out its other brethren, Flare and Titan. It'll also come with 4GB of internal memory.

Software-wise, Cherry Mobile Omega will have the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Processor speed will stay at 1GHz dual-core. The 8MP camera will compete with MyPhone's A919, but the 2MP front facing camera blows competition out of the water. Check out the rumored specs of Cherry Mobile Omega below.
