If you’re freaking out with Apple’sOctober 23rd event, you may want to hold some of your breaths
because Google has also sent invites for an Android Event this October 29th
happening in New York. Eventhough the invites are expected to be dropped this
month, Google’s mouth are sealed on what they are going to unbox on the said event.
So here are the possible things that they might uncover on Monday of October 29th.
Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie
Google might take the wraps off
the latest Android version called the Key Lime Pie. I expect that this version
wouldn’t have a great improvement over the Jelly Bean. It just has something to
do with the famous Project Roadrunner which will solve issues with the battery
life. Ofcourse, the tradition bug fixes will always be ironed out.
The 32GB Google Nexus 7 Version
It is not a secret anymore that
Google will release a “fatter” variant (in terms of memory) of their Nexus 7
tablet since this highly-acclaimed tablet has been popping out like mushrooms
in retailer websites all over the world. This move of Google will give the boot
to the 8GB variant. If they’re generous enough, a USD 99 Nexus 7 might also
steal the show.
Next Nexus Flagship Smartphone Launch
New software comes with a new
hardware. Since they will announce Key Lime Pie, it is most likely that Google
will reveal their next flagship smartphone that will carry the latest version
of Android. However, it is unclear if they will be releasing the rumored
beefed-up version of the Galaxy Nexus, they may also announce a pack of Nexus
royalties from different manufacturers like LG (LG Nexus 4) and Sony (Nexus X).
Yes, it is clouded as of the
moment but I’m pretty sure all the Android fans are on the edge of their seats
right now. So after marking October 23 on your calendars for the Apple event,
be sure to draw the same mark on the 29th.
