I must admit that I am a bit of
an HTC fan when it comes to android devices. Their semi-aluminum body curves
out a boundary to other android brands. However in 2012, the company has come
from being on top of the android players to being “quietly” hibernating in the
past two quarters. The announcement of their Windows Phone devices recently may
have made a spark but to keep the ball rolling - Google is reported to do a
Nexus “phablet” under the Taiwanese glutton.
The device will be named as
Google Nexus 5 which was originally rumored to be the DROID Incredible X
smartphone. Significantly, it will run an improved version of Jelly Bean
(Android 4.1.2) that carries bug fixes, enhancements to project butter and more
functional lockscreen.
The Nexus 5 will obviously have a
5-inch screen with full HD 1020p resolution. Plus, the possibly of it having a
quad-core processor is a no-brainer, a Snapdragon S4 probably. Camera-wise, the
12MP shooter would suffice. The battery will juice up with 2500mAh and 4G LTE
will keep it under the radar of android flagships.
I’m sure everyone is keeping an
eye to this story. Stay tuned.
