Google releases Chrome and Drive for iOS today

Google announced that Google Chrome and Google Drive will be available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on the second day of Google I/O conference. This adds a number of potential Chrome and Drive users aside from its existing 310 million. iOS 5 and latter users will have an extra 5GB free cloud service in the Google Drive with a paid storage expansion fee aside from its native iCloud service. It also offers an offline editing in your Google Docs with the option to sync it later when you connect to the web.

Meanwhile, Google Chrome will be available for iOS 4.3 or later. This app have the ability to sync bookmarks, searches, etc. on your Chrome mobile to the Google Chrome that you are using in your desktop computers.

Cloud service is getting popular in the massive smartphone market that we can even hop into different platforms just to avail the use of it. Whether iOS or Android, the hunger for data storage is still a tempting playground for these tech-giants. Time will come when all our memory-consumption will depend on these cloud storage, I just think thatit would definitely be very convenient yet expensive.
