D-Link outs DXS-3610 series: Layer 3 Stackable 10G Managed Switches for Future-Proofed Enterprise Networks

Leading network solutions provider, D-Link introduces the latest DXS-3610 series Layer 3 Stackable 10G Managed Switches. These managed switches are ideal for core and/or aggregation networks in datacenters and enterprise applications. On top of that, they also offer high scalability, high availability, and redundancy. It boasts a 10G Ethernet switching capacity of up to 2.16Tbps, with forwarding rates up to 1607 Mbps and 100G uplink port speeds.

The DXS-3610 series is heavily lauded with its several advantages. For one, it is considered as a high speed network infrastructure that packs multiple interfaces. It can also stack up to 12 switches with up to 1.2 Tbps stacking bandwidth. This means that it’s perfect for small to medium-sized data centers in enterprise or campus applications using leaf-spine or top-of-rack (ToR) architecture.

Meanwhile, it’s also OpenFlow 1.3 compliance for SDN-enabled network compatibility. This series also features Modula PSU (1+1) and fan (N+1) with load sharing capabilities. This modular power design allows either AC or DC power sources for maximum deployment flexibility. Due to the fact that it has dual power modules, the power load is distributed, thus extending the lifetime of the modules.

Its Switch Resource Management feature offers flexible system resource manageability. On top of that, the Switch locator LED and ID tag also adds another layer of convenience in the system. The DXS-3610 series has an upgradable license for full L3 and MPLS applications.

The DXS-3610 series supports two configurations: a 48-fixed 10G SFP+ with 6 fixed 100G QSFP28, and 48-fixed 10G Base-T with 6 fixed 100G QSFP28. It supports different software images (Standard Image and Enhanced Image), providing customers with extensive flexibility for deployment as the core/aggregation router of enterprise and campus environments. The Enhanced Image supports L3 features such as L3 routing, L3 Multicast, and MPLS, making the DXS-3610 suitable for deployment as an aggregation switch for ISP Metro/Campus.
