The Realme 5's marquee features are the rear quad-camera and the whopping 5000 mAh battery. But the Realme 5 is not all about the juicy battery and the powerful camera, we will discuss that in our review, but today, we will cure your curiosity with this unboxing.

The Realme 5 box very familiar in its while color and yellow accents. Opening it, you'll see a small white box which comes with a welcome note from the Realme team. Inside you'll see the plastic case, and the manual and documentations (our review unit does not have any).

There's a white power brick which unlike the Pro version does not support VOOC fast charging. And we have a microUSB cable which simply means that the Realme 5 is stuck with a micro USB port. The SIM tray ejector is found underneath.

Pulling up the phone gives us a diamond-like purple backing, Realme calls it Crystal Purple. It's plastic yet premium looking, and did I say it also attracts fingerprints more often than not? I guess you'll have to wipe this phone frequently.

The power button is on the right while the SIM tray and volume rocker is on the left side. The bottom portion is a home the micro USB port, speaker grill, 3.5-mm audio jack and the microphone.

Powering it ON, you'll see a familiar Realme logo and Android branding. Speaking of Android, the Realme 5 boots with Android 9.0 Pie with Color OS 6. I always like Color OS 6 - logos are simple and vibrant and it's  also smooth. Of course, you'll see a full suite of Google apps and some bloatwares...but I must say it's minimal, some of it you can even uninstall.

We have a whopping 6.5-inch LCD display - it's even bigger that Realme 5 pro's 6.3-inch screen. But Realme 5 only settles with HD+ resolution.

It is powered by Snapdragon 665 with up to 4GB of RAM. Plus, you can get up to 128GB of memory with up to 256GB external storage support via microSD card.

Rear Quad Camera

The Realme 5 also packs four rear cameras similar to the pro version. The only difference is the Realme 5 has a 12MP main camera while the pro have 48MP. Other three sensors are similar - the 8MP ultrawide, the 2MP macro and the 2MP portrait camera.

Again, the Realme 5 has a juicy 5000 mAh battery which clouds the 4035mAh  of the Realme 5 Pro.

The Realme 5's Philippine price will be announced on October 3rd. As always we will keep you updated.
