Asus Zenfone 3: Philippines Smartphone Variant Round-up

Asus Zenfone 3 is expected to debut in the in the Philippines on August 14. And when the company talks about smartphone releases, they mean business. In fact, they will drop the whole catalogue of the highly-anticipated smartphone family including the recently announced Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max.

So to give you a backgrounder, and set the level of expectations this coming Philippines release, we will give you a round-up of all the Zenfone 3 variants that (might) will be released here in the country. Let's not waste more time and start the ball rolling. We start with the base handset.

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL

 

The base model covers the upper mid-tier department which is technically loaded with a serious feature set. On paper, it's said to be the poster phone of the Snapdragon 625 packed with 2GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU. There's a Gorilla Glass layer on both front and back panel that complements the exquisite 2.5D glass edge.

The full HD 1080p display is also a breath of fresh air for those who frequently use their phone for video streaming, reading text and gaming. The RAM stays at 4GB coupled with a 64GB native storage. However, if you need a trimmed-down handset, there's also a 3GB RAM version with 32GB internal memory. Other noteworthy features include the 3000 mAh battery, USB Type C, 5-magnet speaker technology and the 16MP IMX298 rear camera from Sony.

The Zenfone 3 Laser is the technically the successor of last year's crowd-favorite, the Zenfone 2 Laser. The smartphone's screen real estate comes with a 5.5-inch diameter with full HD resolution.
