Likewise, the company also posted double-digit growth in digital services wherein it offers several innovative home devices like the PLDT Home TelPad (tablet, landline and broadband bundle), Triple Play service (Cignal TV, Broadband and landline bindle) and the popular FamCam home monitoring system.

PLDT HOME continues to strengthen its leadership with more digital services via the Connected Home,” said  PLDT and Smart EVP and Head of Consumer Business Ariel P. Fermin. “The fixed line subscriber base reached about 2.3 million at the end of the third quarter of 2015, 54% of whom have fixed broadband subscriptions.”

In Q3 2015, PLDT HOME introduced its video-on-demand partner iFlix which will also be bundled with Home's broadband subscription. Aside from iFlix, PLDT also partnered with FOX International Channels to feed Cignal's existing portfolio.

To bolster the existing line-up, PLDT is now offering the QuadPlay. This service is just like the existing Triple Play with the addition of mobile services from the company's wireless arm, Smart Communications. In short, you'll have a Home DSL Broadband, a landline, a Cignal Digital TV and a smartphone courtesy of Smart.

"With Quadplay, we are solidifying our leadership in the broadband market. The service will reinforce the trusted benefits of PLDT HOME brands as we offer our customers a one-stop shop for all their communications and multimedia needs to enable them to experience a richer digital lifestyle in a connected home,” added PLDT HOME Marketing Head Gary Dujali.

PLDT stresses that it has the most extensive fiber optic backbone in the country which covers 100,000 kilometers. This powers their reliable digital services in the country.
