Cherry Mobile outs the first ever locally-branded TV set-top box in the market. The famed smartphone manufacturer gave a sneak peak of its TV Box device with a selected group of bloggers in a small event. This set-up box runs with a powerful quad-core CPU and Android Jelly Bean software.
With a Php 3,999 price tag, the device boasts WiFi 2.4G/5G and LAN connectivity. Likewise, it is packed with a beefy set of ports, HDMI and USB, and a Miracast receiver. You’ll also get a microSD card support of up to 32 GB.
What does it do?
Basically, this set-top box will allow you to connect your TV with an HDMI port. You can also connect your home network in either WiFi or LAN. With it having a Miracast technology, you'll be able to screencast videos to your Android phones or tablets. Plus, the USB slot is intended for peripheral devices like mouse, keyboard, etc.
