LG G3 spotted: first impressions and specs review

LG G3 has been released in the local market earlier this week and by chance I have come to stroll in a local mall here in Cebu and seen the company’s latest flagship in flesh. We all know that the LG has broken away from the “other Korean” shadow since the release of LG G2 last year, now the company claims that it has tripled the sales of G2 with the May 28th release of G3.

Based on the design philosophy of LG G3, it seems that the Korean giant have noted all corners just to impress in this offering. The new Floating Arc design resembles the curved back of the HTC One M8 which is very easy on the hand. The device has no physical button on the front panel – all that you’ll get is the massive 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x 1440p) display with 538 ppi. LG also boasts the 76.4 percent screen ration with very thin bezels.

To date, G3 is on top of the pile with its major competitors dwelling only on the full HD line. The display is stunningly perfect with vivid and crisp pictures on sight.

What we are seeing now is the 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM combo. But there’s also a variant with 32GB ROM paired with beefy 3GB RAM on the leash. Flipping the device you’ll see the rear keys – power button smacked in the center of volume keys. You’ll also get a glimpse of the Laser Auto Focus sensor beside the main camera with a 13-megapixel affair.

The Optical Image Stabilization Plus (OIS+) is an exceptionally brilliant technology that allows you to capture clear-focused shots. The dual-LED flash will also offer good output stills event in lowlight. Likewise, the front camera takes 2.1-megapixel snaps and ups selfie experiences into another level – you’ll just have to clench your hand as signal for G3 to shoot automatically.

You’ll get the 16GB variant for Php 29,990 while the 32GB is up for Php 33,990. You can choose between Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold and Burgundy Red. The LG G3 is now available nationwide.
