Nokia outs Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 Windows Phone 8 phones

More interesting stuff hit the Mobile World Congress so far, and the new Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia steals more eyes than expected. To boost the sales of its WP8 line-up, it has released Lumia 720 and Lumia 520.



Lumia 720

The midrange Lumia 720 also sports a stunning polycarbonate unibody design like most of its brethren. Being a Nokia brand, its 4.3-inch screen is treated with ClearBlack curved Gorilla Glass 2. Under the hood is a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an ample 512MB RAM. Internal memory is legit at 8GB offering with expandable microSD options.

What makes it different to other midranger? Its capable camera with f/1.9 aperture that is pegged to capture more light and excels in low-light conditions. Of course, the Carl Zeiss optics would always attract extra attention. Plus, the 1.3MP front camera would give HD video calling. Availability will be on March at USD 330 (Php 13500 more or less).

Lumia 520

The smaller Lumia 520 is a beefed-up version of the WP7 Lumia 510 and so far it it one of the most affordable WP8 from the Finnish manufacturer. Internals are the same 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 and 512MB RAM compared to the Lumia 720. Camera is a shed down 5MP that dont have LED flash. For those wanting to have a capable second phone and are eager to experience the WP8 environment, Lumia 520 is a good catch. Price is at USD 183 (Php 8,000).
