HTC Butterfly officially announced: 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5GHz Quad-Core CPU, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera and Jelly Bean

The international version of the HTC J Butterfly and HTC Droid DNA, which have been exclusively released in Japan and United States respectively, is named as the HTC Butterfly.

The phone sports the cutting edge 440 ppi pixel density in its 5-inch Super LCD3 display with a stunning 1080 x 1920p resolution. Under the hood, this monster phone is packed with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. It is also beefed-up with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with an expandable option.

The graphics will be treated with Adreno 320 GPU to keep this smooth for gamers. Mobile photography enthusiasts will have to settle with the 8MP (not bad) rear shooter and 2.1MP front facing camera.

The 2,020 mAh battery might get shorthanded compared to its stunning display. But I know you'll be delighted because this will come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box - underneath the HTC Sense interface.

This will definitely be the next flagship phone of the Taiwanese giant that is expected to hit the market in Q1 of 2013. Pricing and availability is still in a blur at the moment.
