HTC Droid DNA officially announced: packs 400ppi 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5GHz CPU and Android Jelly Bean

Seems like the HTC J Butterfly wont get stuck in the Japanese market afterall. HTC has released the US version of the powerful handset and gave it a Droid DNA moniker.

And by powerful, I mean 5-inch 1080p Super LCD3 stunning display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 and 2GB of RAM. Aside from its gut, it'll be infused with Android JellyBean overlapped with their own HTC Sense interface. The cutting edge 400dpi gives shade to the best retina-ish displays in the market.

Its optics offers 8MP shooter finished with a 28mm wide angle lens and 1080p video recording on the back side. A front facing camera is rated with 2.1MP that could also give a 1080p video stills with ultra-wide angle lens. Battery is rated with 2,020 mAh with Qi wireless charging capability.

Without a doubt, this phone would raise the level of cutting-edge features in smartphones today particularly in display. The Super LCD3 might give other manufacturers the standard of what smartphone display should be. With its 1080p resolution, this handset might revive HTC's hibernating sales and give other brands a run for their money.

There's no word if the handset will hit the country, but having the fact that it was released in Japan (and with HTC being a Taiwanese brand) there is a great possibility that the Philippines could enjoy this masterpiece.
