If you’re an Apple user and you seem to be living under the rocks these couple of days, well iOS 6 – the most advanced mobile operating system – was released and here’s an easy way to get through the download part. 

The current iOS offers somewhat a considerable bump form the previous. Apple has ditched the Google Maps introducing its all new mapping system that offers 3D mapping solutions and turn-by-turn navigation. Siri can now pull-up apps and tweet or update Facebook status as directed. Another significant feature if the Passbook which stores and utilizes vouchers, tickets, etc.

iOS 6 will be shipped with the latest iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5th Generation. We all know that the best process is downloading via Tunes but be sure that you have the latest 10.7 version. If you’re an iOS 5.1.1 user, then the update is just over-the-air, try the walkthrough below.

Once downloaded, update your OS by these procedures:

1.   Connect your iDevice in iTunes (latest version 10.7 is required)

2.  Go to your device dashboard interface, Press and hold SHIFT Key and click UPDATE.

3.   A dialog box will prompt giving you an option to choose your downloaded ipsw file.

4. iPhone will now be loaded with your new software (be sure you have an active internet connection to get through the process).
