Apple launches iTunes in the Philippines and in Asia Pacific region

Aside from buying apps in the App Store locally, Pinoy music lovers can now download music files from iTunes store. Apple has finally launched iTunes in the Philippines together with 11 other Asia Pacific countries. You can now support your favorite artists through buying their singles, album and movies legally. iTunes PH also has an interesting page for our very own Original Pilipino Music.

Other Asia Pacific countries that received their localized iTunes are Brunei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Users in these regions will have access to over 20 million songs from local and international artists, as well as vast array of apps and movies. Apple is also said to launch iTunes in iCloud service within these countries together with iTunes Match.

Items in iTunes PH are still priced in USD, but it is interesting enough to know that singles and albums are cheaper compared to iTunes US prices. You have to have an active credit card billed in a Philippine address and an iTunes PH account for you to purchase items.
