Samsung unveils Galaxy Beam, first smartphone with built-in HD Projector

Samsung announces the Samsung Galaxy Beam at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain. What’s exceptional in this phone is that it has its own built-in projector! The said projector uses 15 lumens lamp that is capable of projecting a high definition image, specifically in 50-inch wide.

Samsung does not dig into specifics in the actual resolution of the handset’s projector; instead it gives other specifications such as 4-inch WVGA display with 800x480p resolution. It also comes with a 5MP rear shooter and 1.3MP secondary camera. Plus, the dual-core CPU is running in 1 GHz.

Furthermore, the handset also has an internal 8GB memory with microSD card slot, a 2000 mAh battery and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. What’s interesting is that it still manages to remain thin at 12.5mm eventhough it has projector capabilities.
