Steve Jobs resigned as the chief executive officer of the Apple Inc. last Wednesday, August 24, citing his continuous health problems as the main reason.
Following the said announcement is Job’s written letter announcing his successor, Tim Cook, as the next CEO of the world’s second biggest company by market capitalization, leaving Jobs as Chairman of the company.
“…I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know…,” Jobs opened in his formal letter addressing to the board and directors of Apple Community.

The public is well aware of the health condition of Jobs when he took lengthy medical leave last 2009 and scarce public appearances. On the other hand, Cook took over the position while Jobs was in the said leave.
Jobs has been the legendary co-founder and maker of Apple Computers together with Wozniac, in Job’s family garage in 1976. From time, he had been the heart and soul of the company and responsible of shaping modern technology due to his introduction of iPod, iPhone, iPad and iTunes.
